MTR 2008 Parking

Parking in the downtown is limited, so we wish to explain some of the options that you have.

At both the President Abraham Lincoln and the Hilton there is covered garage multi-floor parking.
The height in the garages are 6' 6" tall, so large vehicles will not be able to park there.
We have contracted a lot to the southeast of the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel for these vehicles.

There also is construction going on at the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel, limiting the number of vehicles that can park there.  The daily charge for the hotel parking is $7. If there is no room left in the garage, the hotel will provide a free valet service to a remote parking area.

If participants want to park in our oversize lot, we have a limited amount of parking there.
Parking for the entire weekend is $20 a space or $30 for vehicles taking two spaces.
Parking in this lot is only available after 5:30 pm on Friday, as the lot is used for the Court Building.
If you have a large vehicle or trailer, you may park temporarily on the east side in the loading area at the Prairie Capital Convention Center if you arrive before 5:30 pm on Friday.

To get your parking permit, drive to the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel entrance and we will have a greeter outside the hotel.  Either they will issue a temporary  permit or will direct you to where you can receive a temporary permit if you are an oversized vehicle.  From there you can go to registration and purchase your permit for the weekend at the registration booth.

There is free parking on the street during the weekend. 5:30 pm on Friday is when the weekend parking goes into effect.  Double check before you park your car that this is correct as some rules may differ.
